What are the safety precautions for mechanical equipment?

I. Preventing General Mechanical Injuries
As mechanical equipment serves as a production tool in construction, the main body of production operations is the company's employees; therefore, the company should take necessary measures and implement relevant systems to ensure the safe operation of employees' production work.
1. Before employees start work, they must undergo necessary skills training and safety training, and master the operating procedures and relevant safety precautions of the equipment before they can start work.
2. The company should strictly implement relevant safety responsibility regulations and requirements for employee operating standards.
3. Employees must correctly wear personal protective equipment, do not seek convenience and wear incompletely, less or not at all; in construction production operations, the correct and comprehensive wearing of personal protective equipment helps to prevent general injuries in mechanical equipment operation projects, such as dust, abrasions and bleeding; those with long hair must wear work hats, must wear three tight (tight collar, tight cuffs, tight hem) work clothes, cannot wear necklaces or hanging objects, and cannot wear gloves when operating rotating machine tools.
4. The safety protection devices of mechanical equipment must be used correctly according to regulations, and they must not be left unused or removed. If any wear, aging or other conditions that do not meet safety protection are found, the relevant person in charge should be notified immediately for maintenance and replacement;
II. Electric Welding Machine Safety Precautions
1. Operating employees should have a certain level of operating skills, and be licensed to work. Unauthorized and unlicensed personnel are strictly prohibited from operating;
2. There should be no flammable or explosive materials within 10m of the welding site to avoid fire hazards;
3. Before the employee starts work, they should check whether the safety protection equipment of the operation facilities is safe, such as whether the insulation of the welding machine is intact (including the power cord, welding cable, and welding tongs), and whether the exposed live parts have protective covers;
4. Electrical safety: Moving the welding machine, repairing the welding machine, and changing the wiring should be carried out after the power is cut off; after the employee finishes work, the power should be cut off immediately, the welding cable should be put away, and the separation of the welding tongs and the return line interface should be noted to prevent short circuits caused by contact between the welding tongs and the interface, resulting in accidents;
5. The maintenance and inspection of electric welding machines and other equipment must be carried out by professional personnel. Non-professional personnel are strictly prohibited from disassembling or repairing them without authorization;
6. Safety protection: Protective equipment is intact, suitable, effective, and used correctly; if conditions permit, the construction site should be equipped with suitable fire extinguishers;
7. After the operation is completed, the site should be cleaned up, and the construction site should be checked for any remaining safety hazards.
III. Preventing Press Equipment Injuries
Safe Operation:
Pressing operations include a series of process operations such as feeding, positioning, operating machine tools, cleaning waste, lubricating workpieces, and installing, adjusting, and disassembling molds. After completing a pressing operation, employees should remove their hands and feet from the buttons or pedals to prevent unsafe conditions caused by improper actions. When using single-stroke operation, the equipment should be separated after one pressing, and the slider must stop at the dead point position.
IV. Safe Operation of Cutting Processing
1. Before the employee starts work, they should check whether the fasteners of the equipment are loose, such as fastening bolts; check whether the V-belts are damaged or cracked, and whether the connecting rod is malfunctioning; whether all equipment is in normal condition (operating mechanism, clutch, brake), and whether the safety protection device is intact and undamaged.
2. Employees must not perform cutting work when the flywheel has not entered normal operation, and it is strictly forbidden to use the shear bed beyond the length, width, and thickness, to prevent the equipment from working under load and increase the wear and tear of the equipment.
3. When feeding, employees should pay special attention to finger safety and strictly prohibit fingers from exceeding the pressure device. If short materials need to be cut, tools can be used to push them;
4. When adjusting the blade or restarting the shear bed after a long period of shutdown, the belt pulley should be manually rotated to observe that the blade movement is unobstructed, and then the empty car should be checked to ensure that it is normal before cutting can begin; it is strictly forbidden to suddenly start the shear bed or start under load.
5. Waste materials should be cleaned up in time during work. Before cleaning, adjusting, repairing, and leaving the post after power failure, the machine must be stopped, and the power must be cut off.
V. Precautions for Using Grinding Machines
1. Before use, check whether the grinding wheel is intact, whether there are any cracks, cracks or damage; check whether the grinding wheel shaft is firmly and reliably installed; whether the safety protection equipment meets the safety operation requirements;
2. Please note that grinding machines are strictly prohibited from grinding aluminum, copper, tin, lead and non-metals; on the one hand, these metals are relatively soft and easily adhere to the gaps in the grinding wheel, blocking the grinding wheel. If the blockage is serious, it may cause the grinding wheel to break violently, causing the grinding wheel fragments to injure people.
3. When operating the grinding machine, the operator must wear protective glasses and other protective equipment, and must not wear gloves or use lining cloth to hold the workpiece to be ground.
4. After the grinding machine is started, it should be idled for two to three minutes. After the grinding machine is running normally, it can be operated.
5. When grinding knives or tools, do not use excessive force. The material should be fed slowly, and the grinding wheel should not be impacted; and during the operation, if any abnormal sound is heard, the machine must be stopped immediately to eliminate the hidden danger.
6. When grinding small or difficult-to-hold workpieces on a grinding machine, care should be taken to hold them firmly to prevent them from accidentally being squeezed into the grinding machine and crushing the grinding machine.
7. The grinding wheel must not be wet and must be kept dry to prevent it from losing balance after water ingress, causing accidents.
8. After using the grinding machine, the power switch should be turned off immediately, and the grinding machine should not be allowed to idle.
